ALL THE COLOR in this beautiful Charleston senior shoot, and I am OBSESSED. Seriously, guys. I love a white dress as much as the next photographer (and trust me, we really do), but bold color in a wardrobe is just so fun. Ellie came to visit this summer with her family from Kentucky and wanted to do her Senior Portraits while she was in the area. She loves the French Quarter area and cobblestone streets, so of course that’s where we kicked off her day! When she jumped out of the car wearing this colorful (70s? Is anyone else feeling the 70s here??) outfit and rocking red lips, I wanted to applaud. There is literally NOTHING BETTER than when my seniors own their style and go for it. It makes me so happy. Of course, this beautiful ensemble deserves some equally striking colorful backdrops. Charleston accepted that challenge and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results. The yellow walls and stairs!!
Ellie attends Clay County High School in Kentucky, and it was interesting hearing how Covid has affected her this year as she heads into her final year of high school. Such a crazy time, especially for high school seniors! She brought along her mom and cousins to the shoot to help with outfits and makeup, and we spent the afternoon wandering the French Quarter area before heading to Waterfront Park and Rainbow Row to finish off the session. Ellie plays softball so we got to take a few shots with her Letterman jacket. I even made her lay down in the grass at one point….no regrets. 😉 I loved getting to photograph this sweet girl and hang out with her and her family!
Seriously, this colorful Charleston Senior Shoot will go down in the books. Some of my new favorite senior images!
