Beach Senior Portraits | Skylar

Meet Skylar. She’s a Class of 2018 Senior at Wando High School here in Charleston. When we discussed location for her senior portrait session, she knew right away where she wanted to shoot. When her grandparents come down to Charleston for visits they stay at a cute beach home on Sullivan’s Island and attend the Catholic church across the street from them. Her grandparents were in town during her session so we based out of the home for outfit changes (so much easier than a car!) and got to roam all over the area taking photos. We started the session at the beautiful Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church across the street and even stepped inside for a few shots in the sanctuary. After that we headed to the beach behind their house and Skylar danced around in the waves with her scarf while the sun set. I’ve never been up that far on Sullivan’s Island before and I loved getting to see the Downtown Charleston skyline in the background – it really was such a gorgeous view! Skylar is on the basketball team at Wando so we wrapped up with a few shots of her in her uniform with her basketball. I loved meeting Skylar and her family and getting to explore more of Sullivan’s Island with her!
