Summer Senior Pictures at Kiawah Island | Anne Marie

Summer shoots at Kiawah Island! A staple of my time here in Charleston, and I just love getting to photograph at this beautiful place. I’m not sure what it is, but Kiawah Island has the best sunsets in the area!

My first Kiawah senior this year was the amazing Anne Marie. She and her family vacation in Kiawah Island, so Anne Marie wanted to give a nod to this special place by doing her senior photos here. I’m so glad she did! I had such a fun afternoon wandering the beach and gardens with this sweet girl and some of the other ladies in her family.

I think it’s safe to say Anne Marie’s shoot was pretty epic! Anne Marie is a natural in front of the camera and we had a lot of fun coming up with ideas for poses and embracing the lighting conditions. I shoot backlit for the majority of my work, but with her that full sun was just calling to me. Check out her second look to see the difference in lighting!

Anne Marie chose beautiful colors for her outfits (her final blue dress is so gorgeous!), and her second outfit was totally giving me Tarzan and Jane vibes. I couldn’t stop picturing her as Jane in the movie (anybody else love Disney’s Tarzan?).

All in all, this session was a beautiful one full of color, sunshine and sand. Congratulations on graduating, Anne Marie!
